Cross Keys relaunches its menu in style
3663 has a specialist menu planning team to help advise on promotional materials and work with you to design and professionally print a menu that will sell your offering effectively to your customers.
The Cross Keys in Henley used the service during their revamp and according to landlord Mark White the response has been very positive. "It was time to make a change and we refreshed the pub's décor while at the same time updating the winelist and tweaking the menu," says Mark.
"During The Publican's Proud of Pubs week, we sent out questionnaires to find out what our customers were looking for and the changes that we've made as a result have been very well received. We updated the colour scheme and with 3663's help we introduced a menu with more local provenance. ViVAS helped us to create professionally presented winelists with short descriptions. Customers have been overwhelmed - they walk in and can't believe it's the same pub!
"Rachel (Collins) from ViVAS came in to do a wine tasting and tutoring session with our staff while we were closed for refurbishment. She provided them with some basic information but more importantly allowed them to identified their own favourites that they will be able to recommend with confidence. All of the activity focused on educating the team so that they can easily upsell and provide customers with good, solid advice.
"She is currently working on a menu matching guide for the team and it will help to build their knowledge and confidence even further.
"On the food side, 3663 has helped us to see the value of sourcing local fresh products. It isn't something we were able to explore before but because of their recommendations, we now have a selection of dishes on the menu that have become a runaway success."
