Brown ale and red wine, along with coffee and brazil nuts, may lower sperm counts. The drinks contain particularly high levels of phytoestrogens, naturally occurring plant compounds which scientists believe can affect sperm counts. It is thought a particular type of phytoestrogen, called isoflavones, which mimic the female sex hormone oestrogen, are to blame - The Daily Telegraph

A woman working at a pub in Suffolk was threatened with a knife and then tied up during a robbery. The robber forced his way into the Inkerman on Norwich Road, Ipswich, on Sunday night. He escaped with what was described as a "quantity of cash". The victim, was uninjured but was left traumatised by the robbery, police said - BBC News
