St Austell Brewery's Celtic Beer Festival is to celebrate its tenth birthday in what the hosts promise will be Cornwall's biggest party of the year.

The festival takes place on November 29 offering live music and the chance to sample more than 100 different beers.

All the proceed will go to the South West Children's Hospice, and the public will also get the opportunity to try St Austell's director of brewing's legendary selection of special brews.

Last year the festival attracted more than 3,000 people from across the South West and raised over £10,000 for local charities.

Jeremy Mitchell, St Austell's head of marketing, said: "We're thrilled to be celebrating 10 years of the Celtic Beer Festival.

"As always we're promising people a fantastic atmosphere in historic surrounding with great bands and a huge selection of traditional and new beers."

Bands already signed up to perform include Mad Dog McRea, Black Jack Davey, Shadowy Experience and Bucket Boys.

The festival takes place at the brewery between 11am and 11pm, and tickets cost £5 per person.
