Carling is offering pubs the chance to create their own websites free of charge.

Using the Carling Beerfinder website, which is part of Carling.com, publicans can design a website which has the potential to be viewed by 500,000 people a month.

Offering a series of templates including Gastro, Sports, Traditional, Music and Contemporary, publicans are able to advertise their business and market events in a way that suits their premises.

Andy Cray, the director of customer marketing, said: "This service will always be free to pubs that join Beerfinder, we've made that commitment because our main aim is to support the great British pub and help them to attract more customers, even if they don't sell our beer.

"It's easy to set up, all pubs have to do is register and enter their details and we will do the rest."

Carling Beerfinder is also looking to launch a new barstaff training module, downloadable pub quizzes, and a page where pubs can register their football teams and win a new football kit.
