The level of domestic violence in a neighbourhood is linked to the number of places you can buy alcohol, new research claims. A new study, carried out by American researchers, has found a direct correlation between "intimate partner violence" and the number of off licences, bars, restaurants and other drinking places. The researchers found that for every extra alcohol outlet per 1,000 population, there was an increase of a third in male-to-female partner violence - The Daily Telegraph
