In an effort to drive sales of its ready made spritzer brand Echo Falls Spritz, Constellation is running a promotion with 15 Bristol bars on the evening of December 11 that will offer drinkers the chance to win a one-carat diamond.

Consumers purchasing Spritz in the participating bars will be able to enter a free prize draw.

Echo Falls has also teamed up with radio station GWR Bristol to raise the promotion's profile in the area.

Spitz launched earlier this year in two varieties - white zinfandel (rosé) or chardonnay. With a four per cent ABV, each 250ml bottle contains one unit of alcohol and is designed to be served over ice.

Clare Griffiths, Constellation European consumer marketing director said: "Spritz has been an exciting new development for the Echo Falls brand this year, enhancing its position as a leader in the 'new-to-wine' drinkers' market.

"Reaction to this lighter drinking option has been phenomenal and the Bristol diamond promotion will serve to increase popularity amongst the city's newbie consumers, driving sales on-trade."
