Multiple pub operator Peach Pub Company (PPC) has appointed ex-Barracuda North of England & Scotland head of operations Paul Cutsforth as its first operations director.

PPC said Cutsforth would "work alongside the senior management team to help develop Peach's product and service offer and consolidate growth across the estate".

The new arrival spent six years with the Barracuda, during which time he oversaw the roll-out of new branded concepts across the Barracuda estate and added more than 40 new sites to his region.

Hamish Stoddart, co-founder of Peach, said: "Paul's goal in joining Peach is to work with us to create the best pubs in Britain in market towns - the best experience, the best food and the best service - literally the best in town."

The pub operator reported that although the start to the year had been "tougher", the first two months of the year had been busy for each of its 10 pubs.

"Peach is redoubling its efforts to stay ahead of the game by focusing on great people, great food and great service, to keep its quality consistently high," added Stoddart.
