BII has signed up two new corporate members, HIT Training and Business In Sport and Leisure (BISL).

BISL represents around 100 companies in the leisure, gaming, hospitality, sport and tourism sectors.

Brigid Simmonds, BISL chief executive, said: "Business In Sport and Leisure supports the work of BII; its training initiatives are second to none. We feel its work is complementary to many of the initiatives which BISL is working on with our members."

HIT Training runs government-funded free courses such as food and drinks service, cookery, supervisory skills, customer care and cleaning.

Chief executive John Hyde said: "We're delighted at becoming a corporate member of BII and very much welcome the opportunity to work more closely with the membership at an individual level, to help members further improve their skills as well as their businesses in these challenging times."

Steve Howe, BII director of membership, said: "We are delighted to have HIT Training and BISL on board and we welcome their input. Each brings a different set of qualities to the mix and offers additional benefits to our members and to BII as a whole."
