Spirit Group targets families with new Two For One deals

Spirit Group is offering a new package of menu deals at its Two For One pubs, with dishes starting at £3.99.

The offer means a family of four can eat out for under £15. The 'Price Crunchers' menu moves way from the Two For One positioning, and includes dishes such fish & chips and chicken kiev priced at £3.99, and mince and potato pie at £4.49.

The new menu also includes starters and desserts from £1.50 and the option to go large on Sunday roasts for £1.

Spirit, the managed arm of Punch Taverns, is positioning more of its pubs in the value food market, in response to increased competition from concepts such as Mitchells & Butlers successful Crown Carveries.

Two For One concept manager, Karen Turton, said: "We've introduced Price Crunchers, great value single meals, so you don't have to be in groups of two or more to enjoy savings."

There are also three new sharing platters priced at £9.99 - with, fish, burger and curry options offering a meal for two including side dishes.

Turton added: "We're expecting our new sharing platters to be very popular this summer. These have proved really successful in our other concepts as they provide a great way for friends and couples to dine out together."
