Retail Response nets TCG deal

EPoS provider Retail Response has signed a deal to supply hardware support services to all 138 Tattershall Castle Group (TCG) outlets.

TCG said the new systems would help it standardise monthly costs and improve fixing times.

"It seems an age ago that the industry declared that open IT systems were going to give the power back to the customer allowing them to source bespoke products and services for their business model," said Retail Response managing director Richard Rhodes.

"In the meantime hospitality retail has remained dominated by a couple of large one solution fits most suppliers.

"Compare this situation with retailers in the high street and you find a competitive environment which delivers a wide range of services to retailers, on their terms in a very cost aware marketplace.

"From our point of view TCG have shown themselves as canny purchasers by using the true flexibility of open systems to obtain the exact support solution their estate requires for a standardised monthly price".
