Exclusive Ranges has added the Gico range of modular cooking systems to its UK portfolio. A series of gas ranges from the Italian Gico 900 series is available, in four, six and eight-burner configurations. The special grid design allows flexibility for both large and small pans to be placed on top of the burners. The units can be positioned as a central station, working both sides, or can be cantilevered as desired.

With more pubs using sous vide products on the menu, boiler manufacturer Instanta has launched the range of Sous Vide Digital Water Baths in two sizes. Designed specifically for sous vide cooking, pouches can be suspended from the removable stainless steel rack which comes with the unit or the bath can be segmented using optional stainless steel dividers. Five digital timers display cooking time, with the water temperature also prominently displayed.

Maidaid's new ICE range of icemakers aim to offer 'best value in the UK market'. At prices from £695, the 'no frills' machines are designed to deliver the highest output with the lowest environmental impact and at an economic price. The range includes six machines from 25kg up to 130kg production per 24 hours. A spray system produces solid, crystal clear cubes that melt slowly and do not immediately dilute the drink.

Lincat has added a powerful new fryer, with built-in oil filtration, to its heavy duty Opus 700 range of prime cooking equipment. The new OE7105/F, is designed to save money by extending the life of cooking oil by up to 50 per cent. Simple to operate, the new filtration system drains the oil from the tank through the primary filter to remove the largest particles and cooking debris. The oil is then pumped through a carbon pad filter before being pumped back into the tank ready for use. The whole process takes between four and six minutes for a full tank of oil.

Bar-cube is the latest addition to Melitta's Bar range of bean-to-cup machines. Measuring just 430mm wide, it will fit into the smallest available counter space to allow pubs to serve freshly made coffee. It can produce up to 150 espressos per hour and has 18 available menu settings accessible through the display panel. Two bean hoppers enable users to provide a choice of coffees while there is also an additional inlet for decaffeinated coffee. n
