Campaign for Real Ale boss Mike Benner will give an update on the progress of the super-complaint to the Office of Fair Trading at a BII meeting.

Benner will speak at the BII Central regional event on 7 October at Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa near Towcester and update attendees on the OFT investigation into the pubcos and beer tie.

Other speakers on the day include BII chief executive on the organisation's plans for the future, fire and health and safety regulations expert Mike Williams of Smartlog and Kenny Robinson of Barcare. The English Beef and Lamb Foundation will also give a live demonstration on how to get the most out of the meat.

"I'm so confident that everyone will walk away with five new good ideas for their business that I'm offering a money back guarantee and will refund the entry fee to those who don't," said BII Central Region chairman Bernard Brindley.

The event is open to BII members (£20) and non-members (£25) a-like. To book, call Tim Palmer on 01202 242714 or 07771 560922 or click here.
