The BII NITA training and development awards 2009 has opened to find the best training providers in the licensed sector.

There are eight awards up for grabs across seven categories as well as the Supreme Award, which will go to the overall winner.

The deadline for applications is December 1, after which a shortlisting process will take place. Finalists will be individually interviewed by the judging panel.

Winners across the seven categories will be announced at the BIIAB annual conference in Coventry in February. However, the judges will not announce and present the overall Supreme Award until the BII annual lunch in May.

BII marketing director Sue Medhurst said: "The judging process for the NITAs is among the most rigorous in Britain and the independent panel of judges features highly influential and well respected names from within the industry. Previous entrants have received extensive local and national media coverage."

Entrants do not have to be BII members or BIIAB approved centres or offering BIIAB qualifications.
