More gaming machines for Marston's pubs
Digital gaming machines from specialist supplier Games Media are to be rolled out to a further 350 Marston's Pub Company sites.
The pubs will get Games Media's JU!CE digital amusement with prizes (AWP) machine and IND:E II skill with prizes (SWP) machine.
The deal brings the number of Marston's Pub Company sites with Games Media machines from 250 to 600, with an estimated 1,400 terminals installed.
Andrew Ludlow, managing director of Games Media, said: "Digital is the best way forward for pub retailers eager to grow their machine income and offer a more flexible and comprehensive gaming solution for their customers.
"We have seen a very clear decline in analogue AWP performance and volumes produced. While it's fair to say the increased stake and prize levels provided an initial performance boost to analogue machines the income now is at best flat. Revenues from digital, however, are progressively getting stronger.
"We are absolutely thrilled to see Marston's showing such confidence in our digital solutions and broadening their reach.
James Coxon, leisure machines executive for Marston's Pub Company, said: "We are happy to extend our business with Games Media as over recent years we have seen some very positive developments made by their business.
"This has resulted in more than encouraging profit returns for our pub retailers which in turn is helping the overall sustainability of their outlets."
