Red Bull has announced a new TV advertising campaign off the back of what it has described as its "best Christmas ever".
The new adverts will be broadcast from February and will see the return of the cartoon 'Red Bull Gives you Wings' concept featuring William Shakespeare and Isaac Newton.
Tom Smith, Red Bull trade communications manager, said it had shifted 35 million cans of Red Bull in December alone.
"Our marketing plan is as exciting as ever and the increased consumer awareness will help to drive sales in the on-trade," he said.
"We're really pleased with the brand's performance over Christmas which shows that despite the tough economic climate, consumers still want functional products that fulfil a certain need and in the case of Red Bull, give them the energy they're looking for."
