HEB to auction 10 pubs
Ten East Midlands pubs will go under the hammer in a Nottingham auction on 16 February.
The pubs, which will be auctioned by property consultants HEB, are drawn from pub company disposals and individual sales.
Pubs included are:
•the Ship Inn in Spalding, which has a guide price of £120,000,
•the Ship Inn at Billinghay, guide price of £190,000,
•the Sir Charles Napier at Langley Mill which has a guide price of £95,000,
•the Miners Arms in Grassmoor, Chesterfield, guide price of £110,000,
•the French Horn Hotel at Worksop, guide price of £150,000,
•the Rifle Volunteer in Alfreton, Derbyshire, guide price of £315,000,
•the Cottage Inn at Swadlincote, guide price of £140,000,
•the Ropewalk pub in Grimsby, with a guide price of £95,000,
•the Nottingham Arms in Radford. guide price of £75,000,
•the Black Boy Inn in Retford, which has a guide price of £145,000.
Matt Hilton, auctioneer at the firm, said: "The number of properties being sold at auction nationally increased in 2009 as both buyers and sellers could see the benefit of the method of sale. It's quick, simple and in, my experience, very effective.
"In the last 12 months, there has definitely been an improvement in the market, the number of enquiries was markedly up for our last sale. We have five planned sales for 2010 and expect big interest on 16 February."
The auction will take place on 16 February 2010 at Nottingham Belfry Hotel, Mellors Way, Nottingham at 2.30pm.
