London brewer Fuller's has launched new ale Bengal Lancer as a cask (5% abv) and bottled beer (5.3%).
The traditional India Pale Ale will be available exclusively in Fuller's pubs throughout February, extending to selected free trade customers as a seasonal beer during March.
Bottles will be available in supermarkets from March.
"This is a genuine India Pale Ale which has an assertive bitterness, a higher ABV and a distinctive hoppiness that marks it out as a true reflection of this style of beer," said Fuller's managing director John Roberts.
"Beer drinkers of days gone by would instantly recognise this as an India Pale Ale."
