Malibu's Valentine cocktail
Malibu fans can be treated to something different this Valentine's Day with launch of a new cocktail.
The coconut rum brand will be the key ingredient of the Mali-Bellini, a unique twist on the classic Champagne Bellini, but blended with Jacob's Creek Sparkling Rosé and garnished with a fresh raspberry.
Brand owner Pernod Ricard UK will be helping 600 on-trade outlets across the UK during February to maximise Valentine's Day sales with free Mali-Bellini Kits, when they purchase Malibu stock.
The kit contains a briefing sheet on how to create the perfect Mali-Bellini, tent cards, font wraps and Malibu Champagne flutes.
"Valentine's Day presents a strong sales opportunity for Malibu in the on-trade," said Malibu head of marketing Patrick Venning.
"It is a time when consumers are looking to treat themselves and others to something special — the perfect opportunity to sell higher-margin cocktails such as the Mali-Bellini."
