Training provider CPL has launched a new series of E-Learning courses.

The courses will be available at a "fraction of the cost" of face-to-face training — around £30.

Food safety level 2, health and safety level 2, manual handling, fire marshalling and the Scottish Award for Licensed Premises Staff are included in the online series.

The courses are designed to run alongside core face-to-face training but aim to improve accessibility, flexibility and cost burdens on the licensed trade.

Inventive Leisure's Revolution bar chain has signed up for one year after a successful trial.

"We've made a substantial investment in our online platform to the tune of around £500,000 and five additional staff," said CPL chief executive Daniel Davies.

"We were keen to provide an online training experience that is commensurate with the age, skills and experience of the audience. To that end we have commissioned a truly global team of expert code writers, graphic designers and 3d animators to produce a suite of highly relevant and interactive courses."
