McCoy's to spend £2m on ad drive
Man crisps brand McCoy's is to get a £2m marketing boost in a bid to target football fans this summer.
The spend represents a 40% increase in media spend on last year, said brand owner United Biscuits UK.
The spend includes a six-month sponsorship deal with talkSPORT radio and a return to TV screens with a reprise of its pub-themed Man Crisps campaign. The ads will run for six weeks starting this month.
"McCoy's continues to strike a chord with male consumers and this partnership with talkSPORT is bang on for our target audience," said Helen Warren-Piper, marketing director of bagged snacks.
"It's been a busy start to the year for McCoy's and retailers should watch out for further activity that will support sales later in the year."
