A tequila and a sambuca are among four brands joining Halewood's drink portfolio.

Don Cruzado Tequila is a full-bodied Mexican tequila made from ripe agaves, while Di Cassini, which is due to be launched at the end of this month, is a sambuca produced in Italy.

Also joining the portfolio is Ponticelli, a lower ABV sambuca-style drink described as being perfect for mixing, and Peach Amore, which is a peach flavoured schnapps-style drink.

The latter will be positioned as an alternative for mixing for long drinks and summer cocktails.

"Over the past 12 months, Halewood International has been firmly focused on innovation," said Nigel Tarn, senior brand manager for beers, cider and spirits at Halewood International.

"The growth in the spirits market has come at a time when we're looking to enhance our portfolio.

"We feel these new drinks will match demand from off-trade customers."

The Halewood Spirits portfolio now totals 67 products.
