Makro in pub World Cup TV giveaway
Cash and carry store Makro is offering licensees the chance to win a new TV screen as part of its World Cup promotion.
Pubs that spend £2,500 more than the same period last year will qualify for a free 32 inch television and those increasing spend by more than £5,000 will get a 42 inch television.
The promotion, part of the "Love the Pub" campaign, is not limited to current customers — new publican customers achieving a spend above either £2,500 or £5,000, will also be eligible to claim one of the televisions.
Customer consultants will also be available to offer advice on half-time snacks or country specific beers.
"The World Cup is going to be big business for pubs and clubs this summer," said Garry Craft, head of target group management.
"By offering publicans the chance to qualify for a television to screen games, we are helping them to increase the appeal of their premises and attract new customers.
