The 19-day festival will see pubs offer up to 50 beers, including some brewed exclusively for JDW.

JD Wetherspoon is to re-run its annual beer festival - billed as the world's biggest - from 7 to 25 April.

The 19-day festival will see pubs offer up to 50 beers, including new, seasonal and speciality beers.

It includes brews from South Africa, USA (Hawaii and Chicago), Czech Republic, Holland, Belgium as well as the UK.

The brewers from South Africa, USA and Belgium will each be brewing their individual beer in co-operation with brewers in the UK.

A number of beers have been brewed exclusively for the festival.

The overseas beers on sale are; Zululand Zulu Blonde (South Africa), Maui Coconut Porter (Hawaii), Herold Black Chalice (Czech Republic), Budels Capucuijn (Holland), Goose Island Honkers Ale (Chicago) and Val-Dieu Abbaye Blonde (Belgium).

The UK beers include; Brewdog Trashy Blonde, Daleside Spring Frenzy, Titanic Tomohawk, Kelham Island Night Rider, Springhead Spring Chicken, Triple FFF Rock Lobster and Phoenix Black Shadow.

The beers brewed exclusively for the festival are; Oakham Rollercoaster, Fremlins Bitter and Elgoods Hawkwind and the three speciality beers are Batemans Wayneflete Hedgerows, Sharps Gentle Jane and Beartown Peach Melbear.

Customers will be able to sample any three of the real ales in special third of a pint glasses for the price of a pint.

Wetherspoons chief executive John Hutson said: "The festival will give people the opportunity to enjoy a superb selection of UK and international beers, many of which have not been served in our pubs before.

"The festival promises to be great fun and I am certain that our customers will enjoy themselves."

Tasting notes on all of the beers will be available in the pub.
