Titanic Brewery has added a fifth pub to its estate by buying the freehold of the former Sun Inn in Stafford.

The purchase of the pub, which currently trades as Tequila Red, for an undisclosed sum is the second freehold for the brewery and will reopen in June.

This will follow an investment of £100,000 that includes a return of the Sun Inn name and the removal of a red interior and exterior.

Dave Bott, co-owner of Titanic Brewery, said: "It was always the Sun and we like the provenance and so will keep the old name."

He added that the company intends to add more pubs in the Stafford area.
