Glidden Trade Paint and a Pint Competition — terms and conditions:

1. This competition (the "Competition") will run from 29th April 2010 to 31st July 2010.

2. Entry to this Competition will be deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

3. The closing date for receipt of entries is 5 pm on 31st July 2010 (the "Closing Date"). Entries received after the Closing Date will be invalid. Receipt of entries is at the discretion of the Promoter.

4. The Competition is open to all residents of the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man) aged 18 or over ("Participants"). The Competition is not open to employees of Imperial Chemical Industries Limited (trading as ICI Paints AkzoNobel) and its associated, affiliated or subsidiary companies, and their families, agents, or any other person connected with this Competition.

5. By entering into the Competition, Participants agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. The Promoter reserves the right, with or without cause, to exclude entrants and withhold claims for violating any of these terms and conditions.

6. The Competition is open to entries from and on behalf of independent public houses only. Pub company or brewery owned public houses are excluded from the Competition.

7. To enter the Competition, Participants must send their entries and a photograph of the interior of the independent public house nominated to be transformed to Glidden Trade Pub Competition, Tangerine PR, Giants Basin, Potato Wharf, Castlefield, Manchester, M3 4NB or via gliddentrade@tangerinepr.com. No purchase necessary.

8. Participants must have full permission from the business owner/ licensee before nominating a public house into the Competition.

9. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged or lost. Proof of submission of an entry is not proof of receipt.

10. In the event of dispute, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence shall be entered into.

11. The "Gold" and "Silver" prizes, including paint, will be finalised once the site visits are complete to ensure the most appropriate materials and labour for each project.

12. Two first prize winners (the "Gold prize") will be chosen by a panel of judges (details of whom are available on request) and will receive a visit from a Specification Account Manager, £1,000 toward the transformation of their entry and paint to the same value. As part of the Gold prize, the Company will organise for a local professional decorator to complete the makeover. Each winner will receive an additional £250 towards a re-opening event. The Promoter will only be responsible for organising media attendance at this event. Promotion of the event and organisation of entertainment is the responsibility of the winner.

13. The Promoter will be responsible for selecting a local decorator to complete the makeover who will be selected at the Promoter's discretion.

14. A date for completing the Gold prize makeovers will be agreed by the Promoter and the winner once informed. The Promoter requires that the makeover is completed by 31st October 2010.

15. Three second prize winners ( of the "Silver prize") will be chosen and receive a visit from a Specification Account Manager plus paint to the value of £500 towards their transformation.

16. Five runners up (of the "Bronze prize") will each receive Glidden Trade vouchers to the value of £100 each to spend in Dulux Decorator Centres.

17. The judges' decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

18. Winners will be notified by 5th September 2010. If any winner is unable to be contacted after a reasonable period of time, a replacement winner may be selected at the Promoter's discretion.

19. Details of the Competition prize winners can be obtained by sending a stamp addressed envelope to the Promoter at the address below.

20. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any Competition prize (including the Gold prizes) with another prize of similar value in the event the original prize offered is not available due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

21. There is no cash or other alternative for any prize awarded under the Competition. Prizes are not transferable and no part or parts of the prizes may be substituted for other benefits, items or additions. The prizes are not redeemable for cash.

22. Competition prizes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions.

23. The Promoter reserves the right at any time to cancel, modify or supersede the Competition in whole or in part and without prior notice or compensation.

24. Participants acknowledge and agree that, by submitting a photograph for the Competition, they grant an exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual and royalty-free licence to the Promoter to use and reproduce that photograph in marketing and promotional materials, including the Promoter's monthly newsletter.

25. Participants warrant to the Promoter that any photograph submitted is the result of their original work and that the use and reproduction of the photograph does not and will not infringe any intellectual property rights owned by third parties. Participants agree to indemnify the Promoter in full in relation to any and all losses, costs or expenses which may be suffered by it in connection with any breach of this warranty by the Participant.

26. Participants agree that they shall not submit any photograph or material that is threatening, defamatory, obscene, offensive, pornographic, abusive, liable to incite racial hatred, discriminatory, in breach of confidence or privacy, or which constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence or an illegal act. Participants confirm that they have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in the photographs or the consent of their parent / guardian if they are under the age of 16. Participants accept that failing to comply with this Condition may result in legal action being taken against them.

27. Participants acknowledge and agree that no form of consideration, remuneration or compensation is or may become due to them in connection with any submitted photograph or entry.

28. By submitting a photograph or entry, Participants will be deemed to have given their consent to appear in publicity material or other promotional activities related to the Competition, which may include the taking of photographs.

29. The Promoter accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage caused by the Promoter, its employees or agents out of or in connection with this Competition except where caused by the wilful neglect of the Promoter, their employees or agents. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter exclude:

a. all conditions, warranties and other terms which might otherwise be implied; and

b. any liability for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage incurred by any person in connection with the Competition. This shall not be deemed to exclude or restrict liability for death or personal injury resulting from the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or employees.

30. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter disclaims any responsibility for the proper functioning of, or other issues arising in relation to the Competition.

31. Please retain these terms and conditions for future reference. Further copies of these terms and conditions are available on request by writing to the Promoter, provided a stamp addressed envelope is enclosed.

32. Data protection: The Promoter is committed to protecting your privacy. Any information that is collected from Participants in connection with this Competition will only be used for this Competition and for the purposes of future promotions, offers and publicity events. The Promoter will not pass the information collected to any third parties. Please contact the Promoter if you do not wish to receive further marketing materials from the Promoter.
