Dorset brewer Hall and Woodhouse has opened entries for its Tenanted Awards 2010.

A prize of £1,000 and eight titles are up for grabs including Pub of the Year and new category Best Charity Pub of the Year.

Tenants can nominate their pub for an award and area managers will put a list of finalists together.

Licensee Karen Wells of the Chestnut Horse in Easton, Winchester, won Pub of the Year 2009.

"The team at the Chestnut Horse were absolutely elated to have won the award last year and it has since proved to be a great booster for both the staff and business," said Wells.

"We are a very young but committed team, and the Hall and Woodhouse Tenanted Awards went a long way to recognise the hard work and dedication undertaken by the Chestnut Horse team."

Tenanted director Matt Kearsey said: "The Hall and Woodhouse Tenanted Awards have always proved extremely popular amongst our estate, and it is imperative for us as a brewery to recognise and celebrate the outstanding work and achievements undertaken by our business partners."

The deadline for entries is Friday 18 June and the winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner on Monday 22 November.
