Carlsberg sponsors Euro 2012
Carlsberg has announced its sponsorship of the Euro 2012 football tournament.
It's the seventh time the brewer has sponsored the European tournament. The 2012 event will be the first staged in eastern Europe and will have the slogan Creating History Together.
The 31-match tournament will be held in Poland and Ukraine from 8 June to 1 July 2012.
"With Euro 2012 we cement our many years of loyalty to and enthusiasm for premium European football," said Carlsberg Group CEO Jørgen Buhl Rasmussen.
"Euro 2012 is not only a milestone for Carlsberg, being an official sponsor for almost a quarter of a century, but excitingly it is also the first ever UEFA EURO to be hosted in Eastern Europe."
