Brakspear Pub Company has reopened three pubs in its home town of Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire.

Brakspear Pub Company has reopened three pubs in its home town of Henley on Thames.

The Oxfordshire firm, which operates 145 pubs, says each of these three will have a different appeal.

The Three Tuns in the Market Place, one of the town's oldest pubs, will be run by former manager Oliver Reichhold and chef Simon Bonwick. An informal atmosphere will be retained, with tapas-style snacks on the menu.

The Bull in Bell Street, has been renamed Ko-Ko, and opens next month. New managers Ondine Carington and Nuno Rosado are positioning the site as an "exclusive" bar, which will serve sharing platters of food.

The Queen's Head on Greys Road has been taken over by leisure-management firm Intrepid Leisure, headed up by Duncan Ward. Intrepid has its headquarters in Henley and was keen to open a site in the town.

Tom Davies, Brakspear's commercial director, said: "We're pleased to be opening in good time for the summer, when high numbers of tourists visit the Regatta and other attractions."
