M&B appoints new finance director
Mitchells & Butlers (M&B), the managed pub operator, has appointed Tim Jones to replace Jeremy Townsend as its finance director.
Jones has been group finance director at Interserve, the support and construction company, since 2003.
Before this he had held senior financial positions at Novar, Exel, British Gas and Hambros Bank.
M&B said that a joining date for the new finance director had not yet been finalised. Townsend, the current director, will leave the company on 31 August.
Adam Fowle, chief executive, said of the appointment: "We are delighted to welcome Tim to the board.
"His wide experience will be of great value as we continue to drive the strong performance of the company."
