Surrey multiple operator Barons Pubs has added a fourth site to its estate — the Horseshoe at Warlingham.

Barons reopened the Punch leasehold venue in May, after a three-day closure for refurbishment.

It already operates the Shepherd Neame-owned Star at Malden Rushett, Leatherhead; the Punch-owned Cricketers in Horsell, Woking; and the Enterprise Inns-owned Rose & Crown at Thorpe Green, Egham.

Founder and managing director Clive Price said: "We should reach a turnover of £4.5m this year across the group, and like-for-like sales are up by 8% this year. The Horseshoe fits in nicely with our other pubs as it is a food-led site. It also has a fantastic conservatory that was built a couple of years ago."

Price, who founded the company in 2000, said he plans to acquire another two pubs by the end of 2011.
