Corona Extra is launching an on-trade campaign to support its tenth international DJ championship.

The Movida Corona contest, which attracts entrants from around the world, is aired on music channel MTV and is a launch pad for aspiring club DJs.

The final will take place in Berlin and December, with regional heats for UK finalists taking place in Manchester, Birmingham, Brighton and London. On-trade outlets will be supported with Movida Corona branded merchandise, PoS, online activity and an advertising campaign in specialist music and dance magazines.

Angel Garcia Gomez, head of Corona Extra in the UK, said: "Movida Corona is a respected international DJ tournament that reflects the global positioning of the brand."

Corona Extra is brewed and bottled exclusively in Mexico and is imported into more than 155 countries worldwide. It is distributed in the UK by Wells and Young's.
