Cobra is encouraging pubs to build curry sales with a starter pack that includes recipes and PoS material.

With Indian food one of the nation's favourite meals, the lager brand believes that pubs offering a 'curry and Cobra' meal deal can boost food sales.

The promotion is part of the drive by Molson Coors, which formed a partnership with Cobra founder Lord Bilimoria last year, to expand sales of the brand outside its Indian restaurant heartland.

The pack also includes eight posters and designs for placemats and dripmats to advertise the pub's curry menu.

Adrian Davey, managing director of the Cobra Beer Partnership, said: "Licensees can significantly increase their turnover by introducing a curry night or a regular curry deal on their menu."

Cobra is official sponsor of National Curry Week 2010, which celebrates 200 years of Indian restaurants in the UK, and runs from 21 to 27 November.
