Carlsberg is being forced to recall bottles of its Tuborg lager over fears they could contain small pieces of glass.

The products affected are 8x275ml bottle packs and 15x275ml bottle packs sold in the off-trade.

The recall notices are being shown in stores that sell the lager, explaining how customers can get a full refund.

Carlsberg has also placed adverts in the national press today with details of the recall information.

The notice says the "limited" recall is due to an "isolated issue" at a bottle supplier's factory, which could "lead to the potential presence of small pieces of glass within the bottles".

The Food Standards Agency said no other Carlsberg UK products are known to be affected.
