Drinks wholesaler WaverleyTBS has announced the appointment of Ian Norman as the new regional trading director for the south-west, reporting directly to trading director Mark Riley.

Norman will join in January from Heineken UK where has been trading director north for two years. He has held similar positions in the on and off-trade for nine years and has been with S&N/Heineken for 19 years.

"During his 19 years in a variety of roles in sales and marketing across Scottish & Newcastle Ian has developed significant trading experience making him an excellent addition to our senior trading team," said Riley.

Norman will replace Mark Curran who will leave at the end of the year to oversee sales to the independent free trade sector from the West Midlands to Cornwall.

WaverleyTBS is owned by the investment and advisory firm, Manfield Partners, which bought the business from Heineken UK in June this year.
