Nightclub operator Luminar Leisure has completed the sale of The Jam House in Birmingham to No Saints — the company run by former Luminar boss Steve Thomas.

The Jam House is a food led site that sits outside Luminar's core nightclub proposition.

"As with all multi venue operators, Luminar constantly reviews its portfolio and as part of its outlined strategy, has rationalised its portfolio to consist of venues able to operate its nightclub proposition," said a spokesman.

"No Saints was the highest bidder for this non-core venue.

"Luminar would like to thank the team at The Jam House for their dedication and hard work and wishes them well with their new employer."

Luminar has recently re-launched three clubs (Hanley, Peterborough and Windsor) as part of a multi-million pound refit programme and will soon open its first club in over two years — Project in Norwich.

Meanwhile, No Saints is about to launch its first Greene Room, an upmarket bar concept, in Milton Keynes.

Thomas has high ambitions for the company, which he has formed with Mike Balfour, the former boss of Fitness First as chairman, and has claimed it will be will be a business of 75 outlets, four brands and a £100m turnover within five years.

Besides The Greene Room, Thomas' upscale bar project, and the revival of Chicago Pizza Pie Factory, the company also has two other concepts in the offing: these include Oyo Karaoke and Arena - a chain of music venues aimed at 20-30 year olds.
