The Crows Nest, in Port Isaac, north Cornwall — the pub in ITV show Doc Martin — is up for sale for £399,950.

The pub is a two-storey building overlooking the Port Isaac Bay. It has an open plan lounge bar and restaurant, an office and commercial kitchen on the ground floor.

There are also two self-contained owner's flats and four en suite letting bedrooms on the first floor. The pub has a decked balcony area and a private rear garden too.

The ancient village has been a fishing port since the Middle Ages and is known as the fictional village of Portwenn in the TV series, Doc Martin, starring Martin Clunes.

More recently, the village has been in the news for the "Port Isaac's Fisherman's friend" a group of shanty singers who have delighted visitors and locals there for more than 15 years.

The group has recently been signed by Universal Music, the recording home to acts such as Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga and Take That.

Jon Clyne, who is handling the sale at Christie + Co's Exeter Office, said: "With the property's stunning location, the inn formerly enjoyed much repeat business before falling on harder times recently.

"The business is currently closed and in need of much modernization both internally and externally. However, we already have many interested applicants and further viewing days confirmed at the property."
