Tim and Nic Cockburn opened their second gastropub in London's Mill Hill Village at the beginning of December.

They took on a lease at the Adam and Eve in August from the Blue Star Pub Company, formerly Globe Pub Company, run by Scottish & Newcastle Pub Company.

The locals' response to the pub has "exceeded" the brothers' expectations, with the majority of December fully booked.

The Edwardian property underwent a major refurbishment before opening including the building of a function and dining room on the first floor, providing a total of 130 covers over two floors.

A further 50 covers can be accommodated in the garden and plans have been approved for a single storey extension to be finished by spring, which will seat a further 40 covers.

The menu features British ingredients including dishes such as Lancashire Chateaubriand and Thetford Forest game pie.

There is currently a lunch offer on for two courses for £9.95 or three courses for £11.45 when ordering from the set menu.

The Cockburns also run the Prince Albert in Camden, London.
