Pubs slash meal prices to beat January blues
Pub operators have launched a range of January food offers to help drive post-Christmas sales.
Town & City Pub Company brand Yates' is offering sausage and mash for £1.99 and JD Wetherspoon is offering tuna mayo jacket potato or fish & chips plus a tea or small coffee for £1.99 or chilli con carne or five-bean chilli and a drink for £3.99 until the 14 January.
Town & City's Slug & Lettuce is offering 50% off food until the end of January when customers produce a voucher available on the brand's website.
British wholetail scampi with chips and tartare sauce is also on offer at £3.99 from £7.95 throughout January.
Mitchells & Butlers' brand Ember Inns is offering two for one on nine main meals until 31 January with dishes including fish and chips; steak and Timothy Taylor ale pie and fishermans pie.
The company's Sizzling Pub concept is offering a Monday to Friday 'Feast for a fiver' with two main meals for £5 from a choice of four dishes including cheese burger or sausages,
All Bar One is running a 'Dine for £5' offer on eight main courses when customers present a voucher available on the brand's website.
Crown Carveries is offering a carvery meal and ice cream or apple and blackberry pie for £4.99, except Sundays and a £2.99 carvery offer for any of the brand's Facebook friends.
Toby Carvery is offering a carvery and ice cream for £5.49 before 6.30pm Monday to Saturday.
Grand Union Group, which operates ten South East sites, is offering a medium burger or pizza and fries for £5 in January.
Punch Taverns brand Chef & Brewer is running a January sale offer with three-courses for £9.99.
Gastropub operators are also running offers to drive January trade. The Cotswold Food Club is offering a buy one, get one main course free voucher on their website throughout January.
The Michelin-starred Olive Branch in Clipsham, Rutland has launched a daily changing 'Lunch for Even Less Menu' offering two courses for £11.50 and £14.50 for three courses until the end of February).
Freehold the Harris Arms in Portgate, Devon, is running a two-for-one main course offer in a local paper until the 11 February.
