St Austell Brewery is to reshuffle its portfolio of ales following the launch two new cask ales to its permanent range.

Admirals Ale (5% ABV), a former bottled beer, will become a permanent addition to the Brewery's cask range. It will also be joined by a new 3.8% ABV ale which is expected to be names in March 2011.

The addition of the two new beers will mean some changes to the existing portfolio with Dartmoor Ale being relaunched as a 3.5% ABV brew with new pump clip design and new recipe.

Tinners Ale is likely to be phased out as a regular ale over the next year. HSD will remain available as a bottled ale but cask production will be scaled back and it is expected that this will become a summer season ale. St Austell's flagship Tribute Ale now accounts for 70% of sales.

"It is particularly pleasing that the growth in our cask ale sales has been driven entirely by customer demand and we see significant potential for further growth both locally and nationally," said James Staughton, managing director of St Austell Brewery.
