Zonal Retail Data Systems, the EPoS till provider to over 300 hospitality companies, has reported a 40% increase in turnover to £19.5m for the year to July 2010.

The company, which said it had a strong balance sheet and positive cash flow, also reported an operating profit of £2.86m.

The group, which acquired Freshnet, the online ordering and purchase-to-pay provider in July 2010, said it had continued to invest in product development, including the Aztec Management System.

Zonal said that its new unified product set, which encompasses Aztec and Freshnet, was proving to be a powerful tool for the company's restaurant, QSR and pub customers.

On the back of this, the company intends to extend its hospitality footprint, particularly in the restaurant sector, with further acquisitions and key appointments.
