The world is Kent Crisps' oyster
Posh crisps have been all the rage for a while but new brand Kent Crisps is taking things
to a whole new level with its new Oyster & Vinegar flavour.
The premium "hand-cooked" crisp brand is based on the tastes and flavours of Kent and is being targeted at the pub sector.
Other variants in the range include Ashmore Cheese & Onion, Sea Salt & Biddenden Cider Vinegar, and Sea Salt.
Quex Foods, a division of Quex Park Estates, is behind the crisps, which are made using sustainable methods, and contain only natural flavours and colours.
"We have selected flavours that celebrate Kent produce and tastes associated with the county," said managing director Anthony Curwen.
"In addition, our crisp packets show imagery representative of the county's fine heritage."
The crisps are cooked using Kent potatoes grown in fields surrounding the village of Birchington, in north-east Kent.
Varieties used are Lady Rosetta, Lady Claire, Lady Jo and Hermes.
Curwen added: "The response we've had so far from people who have tried them has been amazing.
"The Oyster & Vinegar flavour crisp has been singled out as being very different from anything that is currently available."
