M&B's self-serve brekkies

Mitchells & Butlers' Crown Carveries and Toby Carvery brands are trialling a self-service breakfast offer.

The offer is currently av-ailable in 89 Crown Carveries and 40 Toby Carvery sites, with the offer planned to be in 60 Toby sites by the end of April.

The breakfast offer at Crown Carveries costs £2.99, but a £1.99 voucher is currently available on the brand's website.

Breakfast is being served between 8am and 11am Monday to Saturday and 9am to 11am on Sundays. Customers order at the bar and hand a token to the chef at the carvery.

For £2.99, customers are served two rashers of bacon and a pork sausage, or two Quorn sausages for vegetarians. They then help themselves to eggs, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and hash browns. A king-size breakfast is available for an extra £1.50, including more bacon, sausage and a bigger plate. A breakfast meal deal at £4.79 includes the traditional breakfast, two slices of toast and a choice of tea, coffee or orange juice.

At Toby Carvery the breakfast costs £4.95. The breakfast carvery deck offers more premium ingredients including Lincolnshire sausage, home-made potato, gammon and cheese hash, potato rosti, fresh grilled tomatoes and bloomer bread. A child's carvery breakfast is £2.95.

Toby's breakfast menu also offers toast & jam at £1, sausage & egg or bacon & egg muffins at £2.95. The offer is being served from 7am to 10am Monday to Saturday and 8am to 10am on Sundays. Breakfast is also on offer in 40 Harvester sites.
