Punch Taverns launches post-graduate qualification
Punch Taverns is launching a post-graduate qualification in July, which is available to "high-calibre" candidates across the business.
The pubco is working closely with Leeds Metropolitan University on the qualification — called the "masters degree in multiple retail leadership".
The aim is to recognise and develop future leaders of the business. It is expecting its first intake to the post-graduate scheme in July and seeks candidates from area managers to operations managers to head-office staff to pursue the course.
It comes as Punch launch-ed a first for the industry — an apprenticeship scheme for its leased estate.
A pilot has been introduced in the south-west, with Punch asking tenants to nominate their most talented staff.
