Fluid Group launches 10th site
Fluid Group, the Newcastle upon Tyne-based leisure company, is set to launch its 10th site in the north-east and its second under its gastro-pub/deli format Barluga.
The company is investing £1m in the 4,000sq ft, 120-cover Barluga Deli café in Morpeth, Northumberland. The group, led by directors Sarah Bowens, David King and Oliver Vaulkhard, currently operates six further bars in the region, including the original Barluga in Newcastle.
King said: "Although we still face challenging times and the overall £1m investment is significant, I am confident that the launch of Barluga Deli is right for us."
The company also operates three coffee shops in the region under the Central Bean brand.
