• Tasting is believing - where possible, offer samples encouraging customers to be more adventurous and trade up.

• Signpost customers to wines they'll love - find out what they like and recommend other wines they can trust.

• Link selling - match complementary wines to your food menu and advertise these around the bar.

Remember, the easier you make it for customers to try and purchase new wines, the more likely they will buy.
