The team behind the London-base bar and restaurant sites Lost Society and Blind Tiger are set to open a fifth site in the capital, after acquiring the leasehold interest of a site in St John’s Hill.

The group, which is led by head chef Warren Lindsay and Murray Slater and James Parfitt will open the Powder Keg bar and restaurant before the end of the year on the site of a former Tragus Group unit.
The trio, which also operate the Lost Angel and Citizen Smith venues, have set a goal to serve seasonal fare set in an "urban colonial" environment, which appeals to “a new generation of diners looking for ingredients and dishes that are truly seasonal, sourced from the best of what the British Isles has to offer and inspired by centuries of great British recipes”.

An a la carte menu will be on offer six days a week. Dishes include gypsy pheasant, Victorian game terrine and a selection of Edwardian desserts. There will also be Whitstable rock oysters, saffron scented potato rosti and Kentish apple tart.

A lunch and bar menu will offer British snacks such as rustic breads, Scotch eggs, mini game pie and cold meat and cheeses.

The Powder Keg will also offer a drinks list that will “draw you into a bygone age influenced by Victorian imagination, ingenuity and innovation”, with a beer list structured around “what is great about traditional British brewing whilst doffing its cap to the new breed of micro brewed ales from around the British Isles”.

Fleurets acted on behalf of Tragus.
