Free 'Challenge 25' training for Scottish licensees
Licensees in Scotland will be able to access free age verification training worth £35,000 through a partnership between drinks giant Diageo and CPL Training.

The training, which is available for up to 1.000 employees, has been launched to coincide with the mandatory introduction of ‘Challenge 25’ which comes into force on 1 October.

The course covers the law in relation to age verification policy and dealing with the conflict that can arise when the sale of alcohol is refused.

Mark Baird, Diageo GB’s head of industry affairs and alcohol policy said: “We take great care to only market our brands responsibly to adults above the legal purchase age. The prevention of alcohol sales to underage drinkers not only protects young people from harm, it also protects the premises licence of the retailer and we are committed to supporting licensees in these goals. “

To take advantage of the offer from Diageo contact CPL Training on 0151 650 6910 quoting ref: DAV01
