Entries open for Publican Awards 2012
For 2012, these awards have been re-focused as pub company awards, celebrating the achievements of our industry’s leading pub companies across 13 new exciting categories.
The PMA’s fantastic Great British Pub Awards will continue to celebrate the achievements of individual licensees.
The Publican Awards 2012 will recognise the work of pub companies in a wide range of areas, including managed and tenanted/leased operators, food-led companies, accommodation-focused businesses and microbrewers operating pubs.
The new awards offer entrants and finalists a transparent judging process that looks at a number of key areas within pubco businesses.
They also give winners a new Quality Standard Mark, which they can use to promote themselves both inside and outside their business.
Those companies entering will be provided with the chance to benchmark themselves against their competitors and gain invaluable feedback from our expert judges.
The rigorous judging process includes headquarters site visits by senior members of the Publican’s Morning Advertiser’s editorial team to gain more business insights and impressions, mystery site visits to finalists’ outlets and research interviews in five awards, including Best Pub Employer and Best Tenanted/Leased Pub Company, by market researchers him!.
The final stage of judging involves panel interviews of a senior representative from the finalist’s company by a team of industry experts, including City analysts, journalists, top industry consultants and industry body chiefs.
Reports including judges’ feedback and research analysis will be available to finalists following the awards.
The Publican’s Morning Advertiser editor The PMA Team said: “The Publican Awards offer a fantastic opportunity for pub companies to gain recognition for their hard work and achievements in the past year.
“Winning a prestigious Publican Award is an excellent way for companies to promote themselves, both inside and outside the company. The 2012 awards are going to be better than ever.”
