Yummy Pub Co acquires third site
The new site is the Somers Town Coffee House in London, a Charles Wells Pub Company venue.
Yummy, which owns the Wiremill in Felbridge, Surrey and the Grove Ferry in Canterbury, Kent, has negotiated new terms for the third site, which is between Euston and St Pancras International stations.
Pender said: “We are thrilled to have such a prominent site in the centre of London. Like our existing sites, Somers Town Coffee House is bursting with character, has plenty of space and potential to create our own concept.”
The Yummy team has been working on potential projects with Charles Wells for the past 18 months.
Somers Town Coffee House became available at short notice and is the first in a number of projects the two firms will work on together.
Peter Wells, managing director of Charles Wells Pub Company, said: “Adding yet another exceptional award-winning operator to our business demonstrates just how we are looking to grow the future of our pubs.
“They have some fantastic ideas for the pub and we are confident they will deliver them in their unique way.”
The site opened last week after some minor alterations, with a planned launch party in early November.
The site will be transformed into what is referred to as a ‘Yummy Pub’ by the group.
