Dukedom goes into administration
The company, which operated 26 freehold/long-leasehold high-street pubs, bars and late-night venues across the Midlands and the north of England, was placed on the market earlier this year.
The group was thought to be worth in excess of £11m in total.
It is understood that, of the 26 sites, 10 have since been sold or are under offer. The sold sites include Martha’s Vineyard in Walsall, which was acquired by JD Wetherspoon.
It is thought that the remaining part of the estate has been placed in the hands of administrators BDO LLP.
According to the latest accounts filed at Companies House, Dukedom reported a pre-tax loss of £153,246 for the year to 31 March 2010, against a profit of £783,159 for the previous year.
Turnover stood at £13.3m for the year to the end of March, against £15.6m in the previous 12 months.
